OUT OF SCHOOL ACTIVITIES:

 

 

School is out on the following days:

All of the activities will be held at Mustang Town Center (Mustang Community Center).

 

All parents/guardians will need to come into the facility to sign their child in to and out of the program.

 

All participants must bring a sack lunch, refillable water bottle, wear tennis shoes/sneakers & have a coat/jacket with them in case they go outside to do activities.

 

Fliers will be going out to all elementary schools about these activities.

 

If your child is currently enrolled in the Parks & Recreation After School Program held at Mustang Elementary, you will not need to complete a registration form. Just let the Front Desk at the Recreation Center know you are currently in Parks & Recreation After School Program, they will contact the Youth Coordinator to verify.

Fall Break Mini-Camp

October 20 & 21, 2011

Thursday & Friday

Registration begins September 30th

7 am – 6 pm $60 per child - Recreation Classroom – each child must wear tennis shoes/sneakers, bring a sack lunch each day attending.

 

Join us for Fall Break Min-Camp!! There will be a variety of activities to fill the two days.  Bring a light weight jacket each day and a lot of energy.  Arts & Crafts, Games in Gym, Game Room, Rock Wall, Library Fishing Derby (one  day only), Outside Time (Weather Permitting). Space is limited to 40 participants.

Friday

Registration begins Oct. 7th

7a – 6 p $30 per child - Recreation Classroom – each child must wear tennis shoes/sneakers, bring a sack lunch each day attending.

Come join us for a special day, we will be doing fingerprint fun.  You will learn how to make your own fingerprint art.  Plus we will be playing some games, crafts and doing some other activities throughout the day. Space is limited to 40 participants.

 

Winter Break Mini-Camp

December 22 & 23, 2011

December 26-30, 2011

January 2 & 3, 2012

Registration begins December 2nd

7 am – 6 pm $90 for dates listed above (total days listed counted as one week) or $40 per day. Recreation Classroom – each child must wear tennis shoes/sneakers, bring a sack lunch each day attending.

Let’s have some fun!! Various activities will occur throughout the week, crafts, tournaments, learn new games. Special appearance by Critter Tales – December 29th. Space is limited to 40 participants.

Come join us for a special day, we will be celebrating National Nothing Day!! Harold Pullman Coffin was a journalist who felt he had too much to do.  As a result he created this uneventful day to do nothing and celebrate nothing.  Plus we will be playing some games, crafts and doing some other activities throughout the day. Space is limited to 40 participants.

February 3, 2012

Registration begins Jan. 20th

7 am – 6 pm $30 Recreation Classroom – each child must wear tennis shoes/sneakers, bring a sack lunch each day attending.

Come learn how to play an exciting new game that has everyone sweeping with excitement.  Plus we will be playing some games, crafts and doing some other activities throughout the day.  Space is limited to 40 participants.

 

Spring Break Mini Camp -

Monday - Friday, March 19 - 23, 2012

Registration begins March 1st

7 am - 6 pm $90.00 per child for the week or $40 per day - Recreation Classroom - each child must wear tennis shoes/sneakers, bring a sack lunch each day attending.

 

Join us for Spring Break Mini-Camp!! There will be a variety of activities to fill the week. Bring a light weight jacket everyday and a lot of energy.  There will be a Fishing Derby sponsored by the Dept. of Wildlife, learn to cast, fish identification and many other interesting and exciting things about fishing during the Mini Camp, (all equipment will be supplied by the Dept. of Wildlife Volunteers) plus other great activities, craft, learn new games. Must pre-register for the mini-camp. Space is limited to 40 participants.

Friday, April 6, 2012

Registration begins March 23rd

7 am - 6 pm $30 per child - Recreation Classroom - each child must wear tennis shoes/sneakers, bring a sack lunch. Come join us for a special day, we will be doing splatter-drip shirt, each participant will need to bring their own pre-washed cotton t-shirts for the art project to be done on.  This is such a fun project, the participants love doing this. Various activities will be happening throughout the day, arts & crafts, games in the gym, game room, rock wall, trips to the library, outside time (weather permitting) board games, etc. Space is limited to 40 participants.
