The Planning & Zoning Staff Duties Include:
Administering the policies, programs, and regulations that manage Mustang's growth and development.
Administer and coordinate City, State, and regional land-use policies, regulations, and other legislation to ensure developments that are consistent with the City’s standards, policies, and plans that enhance the quality and character of the community.
Provide technical assistance to developers and citizens in a manner which facilitates their compliance with development standards and regulations.
Provide the City Council, Planning and Zoning Board, and City Manager accurate, timely, and complete information and recommendations relative to land use and zoning applications, legislation, development review, and other matters affecting land development within the City.
Mustang is a modern city that adheres to good planning practices. The Imagine Mustang Plan guides city leaders in decision making for development, infrastructure and more.
The Community Development Department strives to provide customer-oriented administration of the zoning and subdivision regulations and the associated land use applications. The department oversees the preparation and coordination of short and long range planning services and goals and works in conjunction with all land use departments for the successful completion of all planning projects.
