The City of Mustang provides a " Spotlight Employee" each month so that citizens can learn more about the public servants that contribute to our City running smoothly. The Spotlight Employee will feature answers to a series of questions about the selected employee, the department and position they serve in, and unique likes and interests of the employee.
The August 2025 Employee Spotlight is Court Clerk, Angela Wood.
How long have you worked for the City of Mustang? Almost 24 years.
Where were you born? (Hospital is not a permitted answer) I was born in El Reno, Oklahoma..
Where do you live and how long have you lived there? I live just over the bridge in Tuttle. I have lived there for 13 years..
Are you married? Do you have any children? Nope, single. I have two grown children. Girl then boy. No grandbabies yet. I do have two grand kitties though.
What do you enjoy the most about working for the City of Mustang? Being able to help people.
What project have you been a part of while employed by the City of Mustang that you enjoyed the most? I'm not sure about enjoying the project, but I did start the Oklahoma Tax Commission Project (OTC). If customers have a past due fine and have not paid it, then the OTC will allow us to use their taxes to pay towards the fine. This does help us clear outstanding debts in the long run. .
Favorite Food? Mexican food. Yum!
Favorite Recording Artist? I have no idea. I like all kinds of music.
Do you have a secret skill or talent? Not really. I have no secret skill or talent. I am untalented...LOL. I will tell you that I am OCD. Everything has a place where it has to be. So if something on my desk is moved, then I know it and my co-workers are probably messing with me...LOL
Over the course of your tenure with the City of Mustang, how have your job responsibilities changed? I have been in Utility Billing, Accounts Payable, and now am the Court Clerk. My whole world has changed. LOL
