On April 22, 2010, Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt announced a three-phased approach to reopening the Oklahoma economy - a link to all of the specifics of this plan can be found at the bottom of this page.  It is the City of Mustang's intent to follow the plan announced by Governor Stitt as much as possible moving forward. 

In following that plan, the City of Mustang intends to provide public access to different City facilities as outlined below on the following dates:

MUSTANG PUBLIC LIBRARY

Monday, May 4, 2020

  • Library Hours – 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM  Monday – Thursday

RECREATION CENTER CARDIO AND WEIGHT ROOM

  • Hours: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Cardio Area and Weight Room will be open.
  • Entry will be limited to a specific number of people at one time.
  • ALL OTHER AREAS including the Basketball Gym and Game Room will be closed.
  • Guests coming to the Recreation Center will enter through the north front entry door. 
  • No children under 13 years of age will be allowed. An adult must accompany youth 13 to 15 years of age.
  • All guests must follow CDC Social Distancing guidelines and are encouraged to wear masks.

Saturday, May 9, 2020

  • Cardio Area and Weight Room will resume normal business hours.     

FITNESS CLASSES AND PERSONAL TRAINERS

  • A limited Fitness Schedule will begin on Monday, May 11, 2020. A new schedule will be on the website sometime during the week of May 4, 2020.
  • Personal Trainer appointments can be made beginning Monday, May 11, 2020.
  • All other areas of the Recreation Center will remain closed until Phase 3 begins tentatively scheduled for Monday, June 1, 2020

SPORTS COMPLEX AND FACILITIES

  • To Be Determined. Staff is currently working with the sports associations to determine if they will be able to adhere to Social Distancing and CDC guidelines.
  • Proposed Opening Date:  Friday, May 15, 2020  

TOWN CENTER FACILITIES

  • Proposed Opening Date: Tentatively set for June 1, 2020.

CHILDCARE

  • Proposed Opening Date: Tentatively set for June 1, 2020.

ALL PLAYGROUNDS

  • Proposed Opening Date: Tentatively set for June 1, 2020.

 SPLASH PAD

  • Proposed Opening Date: Tentatively set for June 1, 2020.

SUMMER CAMP

  • Proposed Opening Date: Tentatively set for June 1, 2020.
  • Summer Camp is currently full.
  • Please call 376-3411 Monday thru Thursday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM to be placed on a waiting list.

MUSTANG AQUATIC CENTER

  • To Be Determined. Staff is currently working to determine if it will be possible  to adhere to Social Distancing and CDC guidelines.
  • Proposed Opening Date: Tentatively set for June 1, 2020.
  • When the pool does open, it is anticipated that a limited number of patrons will be able to enter the facility.
  • Swimming Lessons: Postponed until mid-June at the earliest.
  • Junior Guard and Swim Team: The June 2020 sessions have been cancelled. Staff will revisit both programs for July at a later date.

CITY HALL COMPLEX

  • City Hall will reopen for public access on Monday, May 18, 2020.

COURT

  • Municipal Court will resume June 4, 2020

UTILITY BILLING

  • Disconnects and Cutoffs will continue to be waived until June 1, 2020
  • No penalties will be enforced until June 1, 2020

CITY MEETINGS

  • All City Meetings (City Council, Planning Commission, Board of Adjustment, etc.) will continue to be held electronically until June 1, 2020.

TREE LIMB DISPOSAL/BULK TRASH DROP-OFF AREA

  • This area will reopen May 18, 2020

YARD SALES

  • Yard Sales are permitted throughout Mustang beginning May 15, 2020.  Social Distancing is strongly encouraged.
