The City of Mustang teamed up with a local nonprofit called Gold Adventures and Girl Scout Troop 358 to help benefit the United Way! These incredible students spent their evening putting 715 dental kits together as a way to give back to the community.

Don't forget to set your clocks back tonight before climbing into bed...and check those batteries in your smoke detector while you are at.

Happy Halloween from the Finance Department...umm...Spice Girls!

Mustang Public Library is so grateful to Andrew — a dedicated Boy Scout and library teen — for choosing the library for his Eagle Scout project! Andrew built brand-new Courtesy Carts for our Teen Zone. These carts serve our 6th–12th graders and are stocked with study supplies, toiletries, menstrual products, and shelf-stable food — all completely free to take as needed. Community donations power our Courtesy Carts, and thanks to Andrew’s hard work, they’ll continue to support Mustang teens for years to come.
Way to go, Andrew! You’ve made a lasting difference in our community.

Welcome to a special Staff Saturday! You may have noticed a new face at the front desk. Join us in welcoming Austin. Austin joined the Mustang Public Library in September. His favorite authors are Becky Chambers and Naomi Klein, and his favorite book is Guns, Germs, and Steel by Jared Diamond. Austin enjoys gardening, solving Rubik's Cubes, and reading. He can also weld most metals! His favorite snacks and drink are peanut butter pretzels or string cheese and lime sparkling water, so cold it makes your teeth hurt! Make sure to stop by the front desk and say hi to Austin on your next trip to the library.

Just 44 more years until we open up the time capsule...were you at the City of Mustang's 50th birthday party in 2019? Will you be there for the 100th birthday party in 2069?
