At the December regular meeting of the City Council, Lt. Blaine Condreay, Lt. Derek Hunt, Sgt. Jeremy Collinson, Sgt. Dakota Norman, Sgt. Brock Childs, and Officer Paiton Beck were recognized for and received medals for Meritorious Service.

In the early evening hours of July 14, 2025, Officers were dispatched to a reported fire at Strawberry Fields Independent Living apartments. Officers immediately encountered frantic elderly citizens exiting the building due to heavy smoke that was filling the structure. Upon making their way into the building, some to the first floor and some to the second floor, they encountered heavy smoke throughout the hallways. It became obvious there were residents that were unaware of the active fire, and some that were unable to exit without assistance.. Officers began working to clear the apartments to ensure everyone was safe from the fire. While doing so, some were faced with having to physically force some of the apartment doors open to ensure each residence was evacuated.

The actions of Lt. Blaine Condreay, Lt. Derek Hunt, Sgt. Jeremy Collinson, Sgt. Dakota Norman, Sgt. Brock Childs and Officer Paiton Beck, were above and beyond the routine call of duty. Further, these acts of absolute courage and bravery, without regard for their own personal safety, likely saved the lives of several, and were not only in keeping with the oath they each swore, brought great credit upon the officers and the Mustang Police Department..

A community thanks you!

Did you know that if adults in the United States moved just one $40 gift from Amazon to a small business this holiday season, that would be $10.32 billion redirected to small businesses. These are the businesses that provide countless local organizations items to raffle, give away as door prizes, buy ads in programs, purchase tables at banquets, employ our local residents, and are the backbone of our community. Who is your favorite local business?
