At Tuesday evening's City Council meeting, Mustang Finance Director Janet Watts was recognized by Mayor Grider and the City Council on her recent certification of the professional credential of Advanced Certified Public Finance Administrator (ACPFA). This honor reinforces the primary purpose of APT US&C – to elevate the level of municipal accounting knowledge and enrich the performance within the accounting management profession.
Ms. Watts was also recently selected to serve on the International Board of Directors of the Association of Public Treasurers of the United States and Canada. This is quite an honor for a Finance Director from a municipality with less than 25,000 citizens to be selected to serve on this Board and speaks to Ms. Watts’ reputation among peers in her profession.
Congratulations Janet!
