Coast Guard Day is held August 4 to commemorate the founding of the United States Coast Guard on August 4, 1790, by then-Secretary of the Treasury Alexander Hamilton.
You might say he was "in the room where it happened."


At Tuesday evening's regular meeting of the Mustang City Council, Warriors for Freedom were presented with a check in the amount of $20,000 from the Parks and Recreation Department and Mustang Youth Sports - proceeds from their Warriors for Freedom Weekend held in May.

Please welcome David Russell to the City of Mustang team. Davis lives in Mustang and is the City's new Project and Stormwater Manager. David's first day on the job was Tuesday, August 1, 2023.


Please give a warm Mustang welcome to Ashley Neely. Ashley grew up in Enid, OK and currently lives in "Yutang City" (that area between Mustang, Yukon, and Oklahoma City where nobody really knows where they live). Ashley is the City's new Accounts Payable Clerk.

Pack the Park is tonight starting at 6:00 PM at Wild Horse Park. Food Trucks, Side Walk Chalk Contest, Inflatables and Movie in the Park featuring Back to the Future. Movie starts at dusk.


We would like you to give a warm Mustang welcome to Kaylee Bohach. Kaylee will be working in the Support Services Division of the Police Department which is responsible for dispatch, records, jailor duties, etc. Kaylee comes to Mustang from Bend, Oregon. Welcome Kaylee!

Construction to the entrance of W. Whippoorwill Way off N. Clear Springs Road, begins today. Construction will take around two weeks to complete, weather permitting. The area will be closed to complete construction. Residents are asked to plan ahead and use alternative routes.


Update: The leak on W. Branches Way has been repaired, and service has been restored.

Pack the Park on July 21, 2023, starting at 6:00 PM. Pack the Park is a FREE event that will have Food Trucks, Side Walk Chalk Contest, Inflatables and Movie in the Park featuring Back to the Future. Food trucks will begin serving at 6:00 PM and the movie will begin at dusk.

Meadows park will be closed beginning today, July 10, 2023 for the construction of a new walking trail. The park will be closed for a minimum of 2 weeks. Thanks in advance for your cooperation

All City offices and facilities - with the exception of the Aquatics Center - will be closed today in observance of the Independence Day holiday. Refuse services will run as normally scheduled and the Aquatics Center will close at 3 PM
