At last week's regular meeting of the City Council meeting, the City recognized its employees and members of the City Council that are also Veterans in advance of the Veterans Day holiday. Each employee received a coin with the City of Mustang seal on one side, and the emblems of the various branches of the military on the other side. On Veterans Day, Mustang American Legion Post 353 and the City of Mustang conducted its 2nd Annual Veterans Day Celebration. The day kicked off at 9:00 AM with a free breakfast - not only for Veterans but for all who attended - provided by the Fat Guys Club, At 11:00 AM, the celebration continued with the National Anthem being performed by Ms. Jessica Hunt - Human Resources Director for the City of Mustang, followed by Mustang American Legion Post member Barry Carrington introducing the guest speaker, US Army Chaplain (Lieutenant Colonel) David Jordan. A recognition and anthems of all military service branches followed with the celebration concluding with attendees enjoying 6 different cakes - one for each branch of the service - donated by Mustang Walmart.

4:11 p.m. - Update - The repair is taking longer than expected. Service is expected to be restored around 6:30 p.m. On Tuesday, November 11th, the water will be shut off along N. Mustang Road while the contractor repairs a line. Areas impacted will be on the west side of N. Mustang Road, starting at the 601 block to the 1201 block. The shut-off will begin at 10:00 a.m. The repair is estimated to take 6 hours, with an estimated restoration time of 4:00 p.m.

Today we celebrate the 250th Birthday of the United States Marine Corps...formally established on this date in 1775.

All City Offices - including the Library - will be closed on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 in observance of the Veterans Day holiday. The Recreation Center will operate as normally scheduled as will refuse services , so be sure to have your polycart to the curb by 7:00 AM.

Water service was restored at 3:45 AM. We thank everyone for the patience and cooperation.

Important Notice: Due to a significant waterline break, we are asking all residents to conserve water for the next few hours. Please delay any uneccesary use of water while the system replinshes itself. An update will be provided when normal usage can resume.

A waterline break has been reported on Southwest 59th and Morgan Road. Residents along Southwest 59th, between County Line and Sara Road, and additional areas to the south may experience little or no water pressure. Crews are on scene and will make repairs as quickly as possible.

There has been an accident at Silver Drive and State Highway 152. Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area if possible.

The City of Mustang teamed up with a local nonprofit called Gold Adventures and Girl Scout Troop 358 to help benefit the United Way! These incredible students spent their evening putting 715 dental kits together as a way to give back to the community.
