At a ceremony this afternoon, Patrolman Dakota Norman was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in the Mustang Police Department. Presenting Sergeant Norman with his certifications is Police Chief Rob Groseclose.

At their April regular meeting, the City Council unanimously approved a proclamation declaring the week of April 14th as "Telecommunicators Week" in Mustang in honor of the men and women whose diligence and professionalism keep our region’s citizens and emergency responders safe.
Welcome to Staff Saturdays! Get to know our staff each Saturday. Today we are featuring Corinne! Corinne has worked at the library for somewhere between 7 and 700 years as a circulation clerk. Her favorite books include The Storyteller: Tales of Life and Music by Dave Grohl, The Stardust Thief by Chelsea Abdullah, and The Light We Carry: Overcoming in Uncertain Times by Michelle Obama. She loves history, doing 5k races with her kids, and has recently started taking martial arts classes with the goal of becoming Master Splinter. Corinne has won blue ribbons for her crocheting and growing succulents. She even met Coolio once!
Corinne likes twinkies, raw carrots with Hidden Valley Ranch (no other brand will do), Coke, and water.

She likes the books Perks of Being a Wallflower, Hunger Games, and Dead Poets Society. She loves to read, watch movies, and do crossword puzzles. Jerrika also collects pop tabs off of sodas! She likes Flaming Hot Cheetos and Diet Dr. Pepper.

Her favorite books include The Great Alone and Before We Were Yours. She likes books by authors Jodi Piccoult and William Kent Krueger. Julie likes to read, travel, and hang out with her grandchildren. She also loves cheering on the OKC Thunder and Pittsburgh Steelers! Her favorite places on earth are the beach and the mountains. She likes to snack on cashews and caramel popcorn while sipping unsweetened tea and milkshakes!

Introducing our new Young Adult Subscription (or YAS!) Boxes! These are monthly subscription boxes that will include a surprise library book chosen based on the theme and your questionnaire that you will return, plus goodies that you get to keep! We will have 4 spots available for 6th - 12th graders. Sign-ups will start on April 1st through Local Hop. You will have until the 7th to fill out your questionnaire. Boxes will be available to pick up from the 15th to the 20th!
