Welcome to Staff Saturdays! Get to know our staff each Saturday. Today we are featuring Breanna! Breanna has worked at the library for 9 years and is our Circulation Manager. She was also the Mustang Employee of the Year in 2022! Her favorite genres to read are romance, thrillers, and memoirs. Breanna loves to be with her family including her awesome nephews, going to concerts, and reading. Her favorite snack is cheddar and sour cream chips with ranch dressing and her favorite drinks are sweet tea and Dr. Pepper. Breanna loves getting to be surrounded by books every day, but that also means her TBR list is never-ending! Breanna can be spotted as an extra in the movie "Infamous" which has a scene filmed in our library!

As part of the Oklahoma Bar Association’s 2024 Law Day celebration, lawyers across the state will be offering free legal advice through our Ask A Lawyer hotline on Wednesday, May 1. From 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Oklahoma residents can call 405-429-4290 or 918-340-5297 or email AskALawyer@okbar.org to have their legal questions answered by volunteer lawyers at no cost.
Our bike checkout program is ready. Anyone 18+ can check out a bicycle during our open hours. We have 5 adult and 2 child bicycles available. These bicycles were purchased with grant money from the Oklahoma Dept of Libraries & the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
At Fiction Fanatics yesterday, the Kindergarten - Second graders listened to stories about Spring and created their own wind chimes!

At a ceremony this afternoon, Patrolman Dakota Norman was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in the Mustang Police Department. Presenting Sergeant Norman with his certifications is Police Chief Rob Groseclose.

At their April regular meeting, the City Council unanimously approved a proclamation declaring the week of April 14th as "Telecommunicators Week" in Mustang in honor of the men and women whose diligence and professionalism keep our region’s citizens and emergency responders safe.
Welcome to Staff Saturdays! Get to know our staff each Saturday. Today we are featuring Corinne! Corinne has worked at the library for somewhere between 7 and 700 years as a circulation clerk. Her favorite books include The Storyteller: Tales of Life and Music by Dave Grohl, The Stardust Thief by Chelsea Abdullah, and The Light We Carry: Overcoming in Uncertain Times by Michelle Obama. She loves history, doing 5k races with her kids, and has recently started taking martial arts classes with the goal of becoming Master Splinter. Corinne has won blue ribbons for her crocheting and growing succulents. She even met Coolio once!
Corinne likes twinkies, raw carrots with Hidden Valley Ranch (no other brand will do), Coke, and water.
