This afternoon, a retirement reception was held for Ms.Jill Heck, Animal Welfare Supervisor. Jill - originally hired in 2012 - at one time served as the City's only Animal Welfare Officer. Over the course of the next 12 years (give or take a few) Jill helped grow the department l, grow the facility, and cared for hundreds of animals, fostering many, and finding homes for a majority of them. She will be missed but has certainly earned this time to relax with a new grandchild. If you ever adopted an animal from the Mustang Animal Welfare Center, we invite you to share a photo of them to help create a beautiful memory book for Jill. Pictured with Jill is Police Chief Mike Wallace.
