
All City Administrative Offices - including the Library - will be closed on December 26, 2023. The Recreation Center will open at Noon. Refuse services will also run as normally scheduled so be sure to have your polycart to the curb by 7:00 AM.


Join us all month long in January for our January Jump Start Challenge! This challenge will start January 2nd through the 31st, and open to everyone! All you have to do is log your physical activity minutes that you do here inside the Rec Center, daily, and be the person with the most minutes at the end of the month to win the prize, a $50 gift card! Winner will be announced February 1st. This challenge will operate using the honor system and please do not change other participants minutes. A weekly leaderboard will be posted on our Facebook fitness group, near the clipboard and on our tv's located through the rec center.

Join us for our Sunday afternoon class in January. Melissa will teach LIIT at 2 pm. Class dates are January 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th. LIIT stands for Low Intensity Interval Training which is less intense and more gentle than a HIIT class. The moves will be less strenuous to your joints, ligaments, and tendons. Please bring a yoga mat, they are not provided. You can also purchase one at the front desk for $10. This class is included with your Fitness Pass or you can try your first class for FREE. Must be 13+ to attend. You do not have to register for this class.


All City Facilities are closed on Christmas. Eve and Christmas Day - December 24-25, 2023.

REMINDER : Dog Park Fence Renovations will begin taking place on Tuesday, December 19th and will be continuing all week. We are sorry for the inconvenience but the dog park will be closed for approximately a week.

Join us at 11am on Thursdays in January for Tai Chi! This class is in conjunction with the Mustang Library, the OK Department of Libraries and the Institute of Museum and Library Services. Class is held in the fitness room and is FREE to everyone 13 years of age or older. Tai Chi is
known for its slow, intentional movements, and is particularly popular as a form of gentle exercise and moving meditation, with benefits to mental and physical health. You do not have to register for this class.


At last evening's annual City of Mustang Holiday Banquet, Human Resources Director Laura Anderson received the 2023 Mayor's Award from Mayor Brian Grider.
The plaque Ms. Anderson received was inscribed with the following words:
