While it doesn't feel like Severe Weather season this morning, March most definitely brings about a need to be storm ready and aware...as we all found out a few weeks ago in February!
Be sure to check out our Severe Weather information here: https://www.cityofmustang.org/article/926279

Chief Carruth had a special device presented to him just before our promotional ceremony yesterday, from our Mustang PD Chief Groseclose and Deputy Chief Mike Wallace. I’m sure many of you all know our squad was stolen this past weekend. (Squad was returned with no damage).
Thank you MPD for always looking out for us

Scam Alert!!
The Mustang Police Department has taken multiple reports today, in reference to a caller posing as a representative of the DEA and even our own Mustang police department. When contacted, this subject tells the person called they have a warrant for their arrest and they need to pay for the warrant by sending funds to a bitcoin address. These calls appeared to have come from legitimate telephone numbers. Rest assured, if you have an arrest warrant, the Mustang Police Department will not contact you and ask for you to pay for those warrants via bitcoin. If you truly believe you DO have a warrant or are in fear, you’re always welcome to hang up and call us back at 405-376-7733 or 405-376-2488. We can confirm if the call is legitimately from us.This is a terrible scam that has already taken advantage or multiple victims, so please, if you get a call such as this, do not become a victim. Hang up the phone!
