Ben Trujillo has volunteered as a reserve police officer for over 25 years. Ben began his journey in Law Enforcement in Eastern Oklahoma County in 2000 when he joined the Nicoma Park Police Department, where he served in the reserve capacity until 2020. During his time with Nicoma Park, Ben also served for the Harrah Police Department from 2006 to 2009. In April of 2020 Ben joined the Mustang Police Department as a recruit reserve patrol officer. Over the past five years, Ben completed his field training, worked various shifts in our Patrol Division and weekly serves as security for our Municipal Court. Ben has sacrificially volunteered his personal time to not only the department, but to the Mustang community as a whole. Ben Trujillo has successfully met the requirements, and is very deserving of and was promoted to the rank of Sergeant at a ceremony this afternoon. Ben’s long-standing commitment to sacrifice his time to serve others is a shining example of true public service. Congratulations Sergeant Trujillo!

We get it...you're stressed and can't wait for school to start. Our water system is stressed too as we get later into summer and the temps soar. Please conserve water this weekend by making the water you use go farther. Water early in the morning - before 8 AM or late in the evening - after sunset. And remember - odd/even water restrictions are always in effect. Avoid unnecessary use and waste always.

Earlier this afternoon, Mustang City Planner/Community Development Director Ryan Conner graduated from the Oklahoma Municipal Assurance Group (OMAG) Front-Line Leader Academy. Ryan was one of 29 individuals - representing 23 municipal organizations - that participated in 7 different academic experiences and 6 legal briefs. This was the 5th Class that has participated in the OMAGFLA with over 120 graduates to date. Congratulations Ryan!
