Sarah Road Waterline Break Update: Water service has been restored to Wild Horse Canyon and on Juniper.

There is a 12" water main break on S. Sara Rd. Crews are on site and assessing the issue. Water pressure may be low or nonexistent in the immediate area while crews work to fix it. Service will be restored as quickly as possible. Areas impacted include Wild Horse Canyon and the businesses located adjacent to the development.

At Tuesday evening's regular meeting, Mr. Billy Reddick was sworn in as the newest member of the Mustang City Council. Councilman Reddick will represent Ward 1 and has been a resident of that ward for more than 23 years. Councilman Reddick believes that local government works best when it reflects the voices, needs, and values of its people. He views his role as a Councilor as an opportunity to serve, to work alongside other Council members, city leaders, and community members to address challenges, celebrate successes, and create opportunities for growth of our mustang community.

At the Oklahoma Public Safety Conference last evening in Tulsa, Mustang Telecommunicator Katie Matthis was recognized as the 2025 Telecommunicator of the Year! Katie has been employed with the City of Mustang for more than 13 years. Her dedication to her position responsibilities and the accompanied accuracy of her communication during times of crisis all played a role in her selection to receive this honor. Update 10/7/25, 10:09 a.m.: Service has been restored to Ensy. On Tuesday, October 7th, the water will be shut off along E. Ensey Terrace, Morgan Road to Country Club Terrace, while the contractor works to repair a line. The shut-off will begin at 8:00 a.m. The repair is estimated to take 8 hours, with an estimated restoration time of 4:00 p.m.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving, MADD, held its inaugural Gala last night at the Mayo Hotel in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Among those recognized was Mustang Police Department’s Lt. Dylan Wilson. The nationally recognized organization honored Lt. Wilson with one of their Outstanding Officer Awards for his extreme efforts to combat impaired driving. We are grateful for Lt. Wilson and appreciate his dedication to serving the citizens of Mustang.

The contractor repaving the Lowe's complex has tracked chunks of asphalt all over 152, SH4, and Sara. The contractor and ODOT have been notified and the contractor and asphalt supplier will be addressing the cleanup. Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling through this area until the large chunks of asphalt are picked up.
