At the December 2, 2025 regular meeting of the Mustang City Council; Lt. Seth Roecker, Officer Zachary Abdelhadi, and Officer Chris Green received a "Life Saving Award" as a result of their meritorious actions taken on September 4, 2025. Their response to a suicidal subject directly prevented a tragic outcome and is representative of the courage, coordination and compassion in the face of a life-threatening situation that exemplifies the highest values of the Mustang Police Department.

Did you know that if adults in the United States moved just one $40 gift from Amazon to a small business this holiday season, that would be $10.32 billion redirected to small businesses. These are the businesses that provide countless local organizations items to raffle, give away as door prizes, buy ads in programs, purchase tables at banquets, employ our local residents, and are the backbone of our community. Who is your favorite local business?

Make your Holiday season a great one by avoiding brown Friday. Fats, Oils, and Grease are a costly problem for municipalities everywhere, including in Mustang. Improper disposal of FOG can clog our sewer systems, leading to expensive repairs and higher operating costs. Over time, this impacts all of us by driving up utility bills. This holiday season, you can make a difference. Help us protect our sewer system by properly disposing of FOG:

• Pour cooled grease into a container, seal it, and throw it in the trash.
• Scrape food scraps into the trash, not the sink.
• Use strainers in your sink to catch food particles.

Together, we can keep our utility costs down and our sewer system running smoothly. Thank you for doing your part!
